In 2012, parents may declare a maximum of 230 hours of childcare per child per month. In saying that, there is a cap on the maximum amount of hours which parents may declare and this will be linked on the amount of hours which the parent who works the least. (this may include travel and break time).

For daycare it is 140% and for after school care it is 70% (because the school going child spends most of his/her time at school).
